=====Example Project Ideas from Previous Years=====
These examples are intended to illustrate typical project idea slide.  However, there is no hard-and-fast rule.  The key point is to indicate to students something about the project and why it might be exciting to do.  Also, the topics can be quite varied.  These are just **examples** and do not limit what can be proposed.  Also note that some of these projects have obvious follow-ons, so it is perfectly fine to "reuse" a topic.
